• The base of this tin is supported by a lip on the bottom of the sides which holds the loose base in place whilst it is the right way up. Once you are ready to remove your cake simply loosen off and invert in the usual way. Once upside down, you can lift the sides of the tin away - leaving the base on top of the cake. Then you can either keep your cake on the base for decorating or serving or make sure your cake is properly loosened from the base before removing it completely.
• Alternatively you can keep the tin and cake the right way up and push the base up from the bottom, through the tin although this may require some additional hands for cake safety!
